A: Product Specifications
Aa. The manufacturers of Home Furniture Land products and our design team work constantly on updating and improving our products and from time to time slight alterations may take place and we reserve the right to do this without prior notification being made to existing and future sales.
Ab. Please remember that all our furniture is made from natural solid oak and as such grains and shades may vary and often high quality wood filler is utilised to complete the build this is a normal process used in manufacture.
Ac. Some of our larger items are sold with a small amount of self building required, this is for a. The safe transportation of such goods and b. Ease of access upon delivery. This will be stated upon the page for the item otherwise all other items come fully assembled.
Ba. Should you incorrectly interpret any measurements on this site or incorrectly measure the space needed or any information supplied by you is incorrect Home Furniture Land will not be held liable, this includes any minor alterations made by you or the manufacturer. Any returns requested for such reasons will be subject to a delivery collection and restocking fee.
Bb. Any measurements on this site are approximate and may be subject to minor change, please check before making any purchase.
Ca. Any on screen prices do include VAT at the current rate and are only subject to change for any offers and discounts that we wish to apply.
Cb. Our free delivery service will on take place Monday to Friday only to the address that you provide at the time of purchase and only within the UK mainland, delivery outside of this is by pre paid arrangement only with ourselves. Large items and multiple purchases will be delivered via a palletised service which is arranged by the delivery company with you the customer, smaller items are sent via a bulk carrier and delivery contact will not be made, should a delivery attempt fail using this method the courier will leave a card to rearrange this.
Cc. Should we display a price incorrectly a refund will be given as we are not bound to honour any pricing errors.
Da. When an order is placed payment must be made in full either by credit or debit charge card. The price paid for an item at the time of order is final and not subject to change should future offers effect a change. Payments made by debit and credit cards must have the correct billing information provided by the customer and that the credit or debit card is the purchasers own and that the total cost can be covered at the time of purchase. We may need to contact your credit or debit card company to verify any details provided by you and we reserve the right to do this.
Db. Full payment is always required and taken at the time you make your purchase.
Dc. A sale will be deemed as completed when we have agreed and gone through the following: A: We have valid card details and payment with security pass. B: Upon placing your on-line order you receive email confirmation of this as your receipt. C: That delivery has taken place to the address provided by you at the time of purchase.
Dd. We can at any time be entitled to refuse a sale placed by the customer.
Ea. Any on-line orders will only be delivered to permanent UK address only.
Eb. To the best of our ability your on-line order will be delivered within dates specified at the time of purchase.
Ec. Items weighing less than and up to 30kgs will be delivered via our bulk carrier service or royal mail.
Ed. Large item deliveries will arrive palletised, this is for the protection of the item and ease of delivery and will be delivered via a pallet truck as near to your front door as possible, this is providing that access is not an issue should the driver deem access a problem then delivery will not take place, when booking in your delivery for the palletised service please make them aware of any issues you may have ie: steps or a gravel driveway, please also remember at the time of booking in that this is a one man delivery and you will require help to bring your item indoors as the driver is not required to do this, all deliveries unless otherwise agreed will take place Monday to Friday 9am until 6pm either via our bulk carrier service or our palletised service.
Ee. Should delivery fail for any reason seen as a customer error you will be liable for any redelivery fees charged by the courier in the event we see fit to cancel your order once dispatched due to delivery issues you will be refunded minus the outgoing and return charge, delivery is free but is subsidised and so will be chargeable should delivery fail as a customer fault. This is also applicable for change of mind and any non fault or damage reason.
Ef. Once items have left our warehouse all charges listed will be payable even if an attempted delivery has not taken place.
Eg. In the unfortunate event of damage occurring during the delivery process you will be offered repair, replacement or refund of the goods this will be our total liability.
Eh. All deliveries are not given time slots and may take place any time through the day with this in mind we will not be responsible for any costs incurred through circumstances beyond our control when delivery does not take place on a pre booked day or any rearranged delivery days.
F: Returns, Refunds and Your Right to Cancel
Fa. It is your statutory right to return a product within fourteen days of delivery this can be for any reason. In order for this to happen we must be notified either via email or letter within the time scale mentioned. A full refund will be issued within fourteen days and made from ourselves. You also need to keep any items that you wish to return in a resalable condition this is to include all original packaging which must be in the same condition as on delivery. Returns taking place for the above reason are still subject to any fees incurred by ourselves from the delivery company this will include outgoing and return charges, this can amount to £40.00 for a single unit to £60.00 for multiple items but is subject to change.
Fb. Should we have no communication from you within the specified time it shall be seen that any items delivered are as expected.
Fc. For your protection and ours photographs will be requested for any item being returned, this will show either any damage reported or proof of the fact that the goods are perfect thus preventing any charges being made due to any further damage upon return.
Fd. Should an item arrive damaged or we send an incorrect item or a fault this needs to be reported, this must be done within 24 hours of you taking receipt of your goods. Should we be unable to offer a replacement of faulty or damaged items or the resending of a correct item we will offer to compensate against repair or ultimately refund you, a returned agreed outside these terms will be at the expense of the customer.
Fe. All collections arranged by Home Furniture Land will only take place Monday – Friday if your delivery was made by our palletised service then collection will be the same without a time slot, parcels delivered via our bulk carrier can be given time slots prearranged with you. In the event you have installed or excessively handled the item, we reserve the right to make a partial refund commensurate to the level of handling up to the full value of the item.
Ff. In the event that you have tried to repair or alter an item a return will not be accepted.
G: Guarantees and Claims under Guarantee
Ga. Within point H and I set out at the bottom of the page further apply to your statutory rights regarding faulty or incorrectly described goods, your rights are not affected this guarantee.
Gb. Your guarantee is with Home Furniture Land, PR House, Hortonwood 30 Telford, Shropshire, TF1 7ET.
Gc. All our items come with a twelve (12) month parts warrant against a fault; this is in place from the day you take delivery and we offer a exchange policy only, for fitted, non fitted or faulty items. Home Furniture Land take no responsibility for fitting, as we are the supplier only. Any installation work and costs incurred, needs to be organised and paid for, by the buyer.
Gd. Your guarantee only covers you for the above, where it is deemed fair wear and tear or a natural appearance of oak you will not be covered, this is to include any failure to follow care instructions resulting in damage i.e.: splits or damage to the lacquer. Issues covered under general household insurance i.e.: loss or damage due to fire, smoke, water, lightning, sunlight, weather, rusting, corrosion, theft or explosion; accidental damage or loss or damage caused by a third party do not form part of this guarantee.
Ge. When a natural product such as oak is shipped it can on rare occasions, due to extreme weather conditions, be prone to slight swelling, this is normal and will settle in a short space of time, this normally affects drawers and doors and is not seen as a fault and a such is no reason to request a return or to refuse a delivery, in a few instances it may require you to swap doors or drawers around to rectify this or even a small amount of shaving, this will not alter the look of your item once a small of Danish oil is applied to the area, we also suggest this be done on a non visible edge.
You can return your item under our ten day returns policy should you not be able to undertake any small adjustments although please be aware that this is not a fault.
Gf. For general care of your oak it is vitally important that only a lint free cloth be used for dusting following the natural grain, any stains etc must be wiped away immediately with a damp cloth and then buffed dry. Oak is a natural product and to prevent drying out a certain amount of care is required this involves feeding the wood with a natural oil or wax every few months, this is a readily available product and easy to use, furniture polish should always be avoided, it is recommended to do this upon receipt of your goods as they may have spent some time in transit, failure to do this may result in splitting or cracking and will not be covered under this guarantee.
Gg. Any parts required under this guarantee will be sent out free of charge with instructions.
Gh. Should we wrongly deliver an item or deliver a faulty or damaged item we will not be liable above the cost of the goods for any direct or indirect damage or financial loss, your statutory rights are not affected by this.
H: Site Content and Disclaimers
Ha. Whilst we constantly update our website to ensure accuracy, with prices and details within the content subject to change. This may on occasion lead to slight errors, and these will be addressed as quickly as possible. Whist this is being carried out we will not be held responsible for any potential losses caused by the user.
